Texas Date Rape and Yes Means Yes Laws

Responding to increased scrutiny on college date rape allegations California Legislators passed a Yes Means Yes law this past week. The new law requires California colleges to adopt a standard of unambiguous consent among students engaging in sex. The law is the latest in efforts to address an increase in reported sexual assaults which occur among college students.
